I can't believe it's been almost 2 months since my last post. Bad blogger, bad, bad, bad. In my defense, though, I'm pregnant and exhausted! ;D
Today, right now, I am in Pine City, MN enjoying a scrapbooking retreat with some awesome ladies that I am so happy to call my friends. Our "mommy's" group is spending some time away from our families to scrapbook, eat and laugh the weekend away. We are right on the river and have enjoyed a beautiful day of watching the river flow past us and the snow fall softly on the ground. It has been fantastic! I've taken a bath in a huge soaking tub, scrapbooked a little bit, chit chatted, eaten enough food to feed an army and taken a nap. Such a great group of ladies to spend a fun weekend with, too.
We go home tomorrow afternoon and I can't wait to see B and take him out to play in the snow. I'm really sad that I missed his reaction to the snow on the ground this morning...but what can ya do?!
Til next time bloggers...

My My How Times Flies
It really amazes me how quickly time flies when you are having fun! The last time I posted on this here blog, it was the beginning of August. What felt like forever ago now, but yet not in some ways...it is now the END of September. Oh. My. Gosh! To say we are busy around here is an understatement. We've been to 4 weddings since the last post. Wedding #1 was in Cannon Falls, Wedding #2 was in Roseau, Wedding #3 was in Minneapolis/Burnsville and Wedding #4 was in Gaylord/Chaska! We've been crisscrossing this great state of ours for some wonderful celebrations :D
Brendan and I have started back up with our Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE for short) classes again and it is going so well! We are in a class that the parent and child split up for a portion of the class time. Last year we were also in this sort of class, but B did not do too well with the separating. This year he is an old pro and do so well when it is time for us to part. He loves going to school and playing with all of his friends. It is so much fun when we come back together after our parent class is finished and he gets the giggles because I have come back to him. He's such a sweetie!
In other news...Brendan is super excited because, HE'S GOING TO BE A BIG BROTHER!!! :D Baby Lindberg #2 is due May 7, 2011. We are doing great, but it still has not sunk in quite yet that there will be 2 little ones in our house in a few short months. AHHHHH! If you ask B is he wants and baby brother or a baby sister, he always says "baby sis". (All of his friends have baby sisters, so I'm sure that's where he is getting that from) We will find out when it comes time to have the ultrasound what the sex of the baby is...Grant and I are planner people and cannot not find out! ;D
Well, that's all for now, Happy October everyone!

August is here...recent pictures to enjoy!
Helllllooooooo August! I can't say it enough...where does the time go?!? It seems like time is going by WAY too quickly and there is nothing to do about it! We are having a great summer, to say the least. The 3rd week in July my sister-in-law's family drove up from Florida to spend the week with us...B played his little heart out the whole entire time and was just a little bit lost when they cousins headed back home. The weekend after that, Grant headed up to Lake of the Woods with his dad and some friends for a long weekend fishing trip. The fishing was tough, but Grant did catch and release his personal best muskie, a 52-inch beauty! While they were in Canada doing the fishing thing, B and I got to spend time with my family at the annual Lanesboro biking trip. What a great time that was! My immediate family and my mom's brother's family all stay in a beautiful cabin down there. My cousin Brandon has 2 daughters and the youngest was born the day after Brendan...I call them the twins. They were fast friends and had a great time riding in the bike trailer a few times together. (They were holding hands, tickling each other and just giggling up a storm!) This past Saturday we had a full family day out; we started in Lakeville at the "Day out with Thomas" event where you can ride on a real Thomas train, then we went to the Mall of America to visit the sharks at Underwater World and have lunch, then we headed to Cannon Falls to attend the wedding of Grant's college roommate. It was a hot ceremony, but very beautiful! I end with a few pictures from these events!
B and Tali all ready to go in the bike trailer!
The youngest generation; Liam, Tali, Layney, Emma and Brendan!
The whole Thon/Kruschel crew this year!
So excited to see Thomas and go for a ride!
Checking out the Alligator gars at Underwater World!

Lovin' the Weather!
We've been having the best time this past week! We started out on Tuesday with a morning at the Cambridge Park where the kids were supposed to dress up as their favorite Superhero/Princess...not many kids were dressed up, but B and Daryl did! Daryl in his Captain America suit and B in a Buzz Lightyear T-Shirt.
That day was also my birthday...Grant came home with these BEAUTIFUL roses for me! LOVE HIM!!!!

Terrible Twos...
Have hit at our house. The frustrating, throw a tantrum at the drop of a hat, terrible twos are here. It has been pretty hard for me to take at times. That paired with the last of his two year molars coming in and it has been crazy!
While all this is going on, I have been able to understand more and more of what Brendan is saying and he's actually trying to say more and more. "Diff mov!" is one that we hear quite often when we sit down and watch a movie...he always wants to watch a different one every time. He's into "Supe" which would be Superheroes which is The Incredibles. He's also very into any movie with aliens in it...weird, but oh so cute!
It's still all choo-choo's all the time around here. We have so much fun setting up new track layouts and sending the trains around to do their chores.
Summer is in full swing and we are busy, busy, busy. Birthday parties, weddings, graduation open houses and musky fishing. Love it, but would also like some down time at some point! :D

He is 2 today!
My how time flies when you are having so much fun. I can't believe he's been in our lives for 2 years now. Seem like forever and also such a small amount of time all wrapped up into one package. He is an amazing kid...what parent doesn't think that?
At 2 years old he...
*is so into Thomas trains. Well, trains in general I guess. We can't get into the car without him asking to see choo-choos. Whenever he hears one blow it's horn, he puts his hand to his ear and says "Choo-choo!" followed by putting his hand over his mouth and saying "All Aboard!".
*Loves to go in the boat and fish with us. He hasn't quite got the hang of fishing...he's too busy finding things he can throw into the lake!
*Has been sleeping in a "Big Boy Bed" since Saturday. We weren't really all that concerned on getting him in one, but I found a fantastic car bed with a mattress at a sale and we decided to try it out right away. No problems whatsoever. Whew! He loves to sleep in his car!!
*Has been having lots of play dates with his friends. We had everyone over here on Tuesday and it was so great to watch the kids play and slide down the slide and swim in the pool and run through the sprinkler. B definitely enjoys playing outside with his buddies.
*Will be going to his last day of ECFE classes until the fall today. We are bringing in cupcakes for snack time...and will miss the teachers and new friends we met this year at class.
*We will be getting together with friends more informally throughout the summer. We are so excited about not being on a set schedule and we'll most likely be heading out to the Mora and Rush City pools, the Princeton Splash Pad and hopefully the Children's Museum and the Como Zoo all throughout the summer. Can't wait!
*is wearing size 2T and 3T clothes and size 7-8 shoes.
*is wearing size 5 diapers...potty training is not even on the radar yet. I'm not pushing it!
*is hopefully done with teething. His 2 year molars made their debut a few weeks ago and so I hope that the terrible teething time is over!
Well, that's all this mommy brain can really think about for now...we are so thrilled to have this fun, exciting and funny 2 year old in our lives!

Duluth May 2010
Last weekend we packed up and took a little road trip up to Duluth. We figured it had to be now or we wouldn't be able to get Brendan up there to visit the train museum for a long time and he needed to see the train museum! It was a BLAST!!! We started our day at the train museum where B was in heaven...running from train to train exclaiming "Mo choo-choo, Mo choo-choo", exploring the insides of some of the trains and even playing with some Thomas trains for a short time. He was not happy when we had finished up and were leaving, to say the least. After visiting the museum, we went to one of Grant's favorite CD stores the Electric Fetus and then out to lunch at Pizza Luce. While at the CD store, Grant was not able to find a CD he was looking for that you can ONLY buy at that store and so we asked the ladies working the checkout counter about it. They looked, but were out of the CD by the band Cars and Trucks. The lady said "I'm on a roller derby team and they are playing during half times tonight, you should come!" While we were at lunch we pondered this rare oppourtunity and decided to buy tickets and experience our first roller derby and B's first rock concert. WE HAD A FANTASTIC TIME!!! Great family entertainment, good music and just a different part of life experienced.
We stayed the night on Saturday night at the Country Inn and Suites by Spirit Mountain and had a wonderful hot tub (or pool for Brendan) room. B loved "swimming" in it and Grant and I also got to relax in it with him for a while.
All in all we had such a great time...
