Hello everyone and hello February! We have been busy around here at the Casa de Lindberg. There was a trip to the Science Museum on the 23rd of January, Adventure Park on Tuesday the 26th and Playgroup that same night, then this past weekend a "Girl's Weekend Away Scrapbooking Retreat" with my mommy friends and finally another trip to play at Adventure Park. Sesame Street Live with the Doyles!

This past Saturday we had a fun activity to attend with my sister, brother-in-law and niece. Through Brian's work, they were able to get discounted tickets to Sesame Street Live!!! It was so much fun for everyone; watching the kids dance to the music before the show, watching them stare straight ahead at the show on stage and the kids just having a fantastic time together. Here are some pics from our afternoon out and about!

Riding the escalator up to get our seats.

Dancing like crazy before the show even started!

Hi Layney...this is so much fun!

The gang on stage.

More of the characters...

Our little family watching the action on stage.

Layney participating in the show...1, close your eyes!

So happy to be spending the afternoon of fun together!!!

HUGS!
Shows over...time to head to the cars!

Winter time fun...

There's nothing like getting out of the house during the cold winter. I am finding that Brendan does get pretty fussy doing the same old same old around here and frequently needs to get out and play somewhere else. In dire situations, we have visited McDonald's to use their play place...but thankfully our ECFE (early childhood family education) has some "Out and About" get togethers for us to participate in with our friends. This past Tuesday, we headed to Adventure Park in Ham Lake and played straight for 2 hours! This place was awesome and such a fun indoor playground for everyone. There are slides, tunnels, climbers, a zip line thingy, a "toddler" play area, video games and a snack counter all there. We will definately be back (the next time will probably be the 26th). Here are some of the pics that I took...

Getting ready to go down the slide...

Weeeee...I love slides! :D

The climber to get into the tunnels and slides.

In the toddler area...Brendan loved this climber/steering wheel/slide combo.

Brendan's "cheese" face...he got his hands on this balloon and was in heaven!

Christmas Memories 2009 - Part 3

Brendan's "big gift" from Santa...a DRUMSET! It is perfect for him and he loves it so much. Grant and JJ in their matching Christmas jammies are enjoying B's concert.

Brendan and his 10 month old cousin, A.J., opening gifts together.

Building the snowman!

Brendan and Audriana putting on a piano concert for us...aren't they so cute?!

Christmas Memories 2009 - Part 2

Sunday we had my family over to celebrate Christmas. My mom and dad, sister Casey, her husband Brian and kids Layney (2 years) and Liam (6 months), brother B.J., Uncle Jeff (my dad's brother) and Grandma Thon (my mom's mom). It was fantastic to have everyone over and we had a great time watching Brendan and Layney play the day away. We had a great lunch of turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, buns and pumpkin pie for dessert. After lunch we opened presents and then played with said presents. Here are a few pictures from our wonderful day!

Brendan and Layney playing "choo-choo" on the rider toys. My sister and mom each gave one to Brendan for his birthday and I'm so glad we have 2. I know there would have been much fighting over who would ride if we only had 1!

After opening presents the kids started right in on playing with their toys. Uncle Brian, Auntie Casey, Layney and Liam gave B the Handy Manny toolbox and it was a huge hit! Here is Great-Grandma Thon playing with B.

After lunch and opening presents the boys got right down to playing Halo on the X-box. Oh boys!

Brendan got this great art center from "Santa" aka Gi-gi (my mom) and Grandpa Bill. Layney and B had a fun time using it with their new art supplies!

And what Christmas would be complete without the kids playing with the box the toys came in?!? They turned this one into a kind of slide!

Christmas Memories 2009 - Part 1

I absolutely LOVE this time of year. The new fallen snow, the Christmas tunes, the Christmas movies, the sparkling lights on the Christmas tree...I just love it! Last night, Grant got out of work early so that we could go down to Minneapolis and see the Macy's (Dayton's) 8th Floor Christmas display. It turned out that they did the same one as last year, but what can ya do!?!?! Brendan LOVED it. After we went through the display, we got to see Santa...pictures are at the end of that encounter. I'm sure I'll have some more photos to share with you of our 2009 Holiday season, but for now, Enjoy!

Holding daddy's hand while starting the "tour".

Watching the animals trim the Christmas tree...he loved this scene! I had asked him to smile for this picture and this is what he did...so cute!!!

Brendan and mom in front of the singing trees...he would not look at daddy for the picture, there was just too much to look at!

Santa picture 2008...one happy little man. He and I have been talking about Santa, looked at this picture from last year, practiced "what Santa says" "Ho Ho Ho" (Brendan only says "Ho Ho"...), waited really well in line for Santa, charged into the room and FROZE. I slowly walked him up to Santa, showed him the jingle bells on Santa's outfit, had him give him a "five", then set him on his lap....
Needless to say he was not happy to sit on Santa's lap at all! Oh well, you gotta have the hysterical crying kid on Santa's lap Christmas picture, dontcha?!?!

Another trip to visit Mickey!!!

This past weekend (Thursday the 19th thru Sunday the 22nd) we (Grant, Brendan, Connie, Jim, Grandma Dorothy and me) headed down to Florida to surprise brother-in-law Arturo for his birthday. We had a fantastic time down there hanging out with everyone, Anna, Audriana, Arturo and little A.J. We packed so much into the few days we had with them...going to the Magic Kingdom on Friday, the boys went fishing while we ladies went shopping on Saturday morning and then to Disney Hollywood Studios Saturday, character breakfast at the Contemporary and shopping before going to the airport and flying home on Sunday. Brendan even got his first haircut at the Magic Kingdom on Friday!!! Here are a few of the hundreds of pictures we took on our fabulous trip:

Brendan getting his first haircut at the barber shop at the Magic Kingdom. He did great and looks so handsome with his short hair.

Enjoying a Mickey ice cream bar.

Tickling his cousin A.J.'s toes :D

Hanging out with Donald Duck at the character breakfast.

Giving Minnie Mouse kisses...he is in love with Minnie I think. He wouldn't stop hugging and kissing her and even gave her a little push, too.
