I Heart Faces: People's Choice

This week's challenge at I Heart Faces is People's Choice and they have asked to enter your Best Face Photo of the Summer. I decided on the above photo of my Grandpa Kruschel holding his Great Grandson, Elliott. We were getting ready to head out from our annual "Kruschel/Waska" Family picnic and Great Grandpa was getting one last snuggle of Baby E. I absolutely LOVE the smile on my grandpa's face as he is checks out the newest family member!

Life just goes right on ticking...

This summer was completely, incredibly CrAzY! It is over; it was full of family adventures (a few trips to Duluth, our annual Lanesboro Family Vacation, a week-long trip to Hayward, among them...) and family heartaches (Grant's Grandma Dorothy's passing after having a heart attack and having to put down our beloved dog Mr. Pibb, who had lymphoma). We are finally getting back into what feels like a "normal" routine around here...although the next few weeks are jam packed with life. That is such a blessing, life continues...it has to!

I Heart Faces: Touch of Sun Photo

To my little man Brendan, there is nothing better than riding a train. In fact, he tells me quite frequently that he wants to drive a train to the North Pole to get presents for everyone...LOVE IT! Here he was in all the great riding-a-train glory on the 4th of July 2010. Just a hint of the bright sunlight beaming down on him; the train car we rode in was used in the movie "Iron Will" and is pretty old.
