A Wonderful Weekend! Part 5: Stillwater

I think this will be the last post for today. These are the pics from Teddy Bear Park where Brendan played his little heart out on all the things to climb and slide down. His mind was completely blown and we will definately be going back to this park soon!

Climbing up the steam boat. He worked so hard pushing and pulling himself up the ramp...then he would have Grandpa Bill pick him up to ring a bell and then he would slide down the slide...over and over and over again.
He was such a big boy sliding down all of these slides by himself...the first time he's really done so!

Wheeeee...I love to slide!

I see you mommy! And I LOVE this place...where should I go next?

Trying out some different ways of sliding...that's my boy!

A Wonderful Weekend! Part 4: Stillwater

The job of running after, playing with, climbing with Brendan fell on my dad again...(LOVE YA)...here they are climbing the stairs to the "tree fort" area where Brendan went down a really long slide all by himself!! I was at the bottom to catch him and he had the biggest grin on his face when he came down the slide.
Crossing the bridge to the big slide!
Brendan and Layney going down the double slide together...

Wheeeeeeee!
Having the TIME OF HIS LIFE!!!

A Wonderful Weekend! Part 3: Stillwater

I love this shot! His cheeks were so red from all of the hard playing he was doing...you know it's hard work running from one play thing to the next!
Grandpa Bill showing Brendan how to play with the sand without throwing it into the air!
Brendan and I on the giant teddy bear right before heading out to enjoy our picnic supper.

Here's the whole gang (well, sans me of course) enjoying the beautiful night in Stillwater. We have my nephew Liam in his stroller, my Mom and Dad, sister Casey, niece Layney, Brother-in-law Brian, his sister Bridget and Brendan.

We saw this hot air balloon we off in the distance when we were setting up our picnic and were completely amazed when we saw it floating just off the top of the river's water 20 minutes after that we sat down to eat. It was HUGE and beautiful!

A Wonderful Weekend! Part 2: Stillwater

My kid is a mover...Grandpa Bill tried his best to keep up with Brendan while he walked all over the area where we had our picnic.
Liam thought that he too should run around the picnic area, only he needed a little bit of help doing so!

It was a gorgeous night down by the river...going, going...

Going...that's what Brendan was all about!

My kid also LOVES, LOVES, LOVES dogs. (Can you blame him when he has the most awesome dog in Mr. Pibb at home! ;D) He saw many dogs while in Stillwater, but he really fell in love with this one. It was so cute!

A Wonderful Weekend! Part 1: State Fair

It has now become tradition for Brendan and I to spend Labor Day weekend at my sister's house while Grant goes up fishing with some friends in Canada. We go to the State Fair on Friday (where we meet up with our parents) and usually hang out with family on Saturday. I will start out by saying the kids play like there is no tomorrow while we stayed this year and it was so much fun to see how much Brendan learned from his cousin Layney in the shart amount of time we were with them. He now eats off of his own plate and he is going down to sleep at bedtime in record time! He also learned how to run down the hallway yelling "Ahhhhhh!"; so cute!

I will start you out with some pictures of our State Fair trip...

Our dueling strollers. Layney is wearing her lovely big blue hat, Brendan is checking her out and Liam is covered up in the back of the stroller!

Brendan listening to Tonic Sol Fa where he greeted many in attendance and did some dancing.

My little man did not stand still for long; he's watching Layney dancing away to Tonic Sol Fa.

My dad playing baby corral-er during Tonic Sol Fa...Brendan wanted to explore the whole area on his own...
Brendan, Layeny and Casey catching up with TC! Go Twins!!!
Well, those are just some of the pictures from the State Fair. Next up will be pictures from our trip to Stillwater's Teddy Bear Park and our family picnic by the river.
